The Ash Bagging Plant was developed for Energy Power Resources Ltd (EPRL) to facilitate the removal of the waste ash from the Elean Power Station Straw Burning Plant. The ash is either removed via tanker, or bagged using the plant.

Ash from the power station is fed into the top of the unit and is regulated into the bags via a hand operated stainless steel valve. The bags are held onto the unit by pneumatically operated clamps and inflated by an electrically operated fan inflation system.
A vibrating two-paddle assembly agitates the bags as they are filled with ash to ensure that the ash fills the bag evenly, and that the bag is filled with the maximum amount of ash. The filled bag is then released from the valve and conveyed to the end of the unit ready for the next cycle.
The entire unit is enclosed to ensure that no ash is released into the atmosphere and is mounted on a single axle with stabilizing jacks. This allows the unit to be moved out of the way when tankers are being loaded, and returned for the next bag filling operation.
